Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Phoenix
How often do I need to replace the filters?
The primary Carbon Filter Elements should typically be replaced every 12 months or after filtering 20,000 liters per pair. For optimal performance in heavy-use households, some users choose to replace them every 6–9 months.
Is installation difficult?
No. The system is designed for tool-free assembly that can be completed in less than 5 minutes. It requires no electricity or specialised plumbing.
What contaminants does Phoenix remove?
The system removes up to 99.99% of contaminants, including bacteria, viruses, chlorine, lead, microplastics, and over 100 other unwanted substances.
Does the system remove fluoride?
While standard carbon elements do not remove fluoride, you can achieve over 95% reduction by adding the specialised POSTreat Steel Fluoride & Arsenic Reduction Elements.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes. We provide a 10-year warranty on the stainless steel housing against defects. Other components like the tap and filters are covered for 1 year and 3 months, respectively.
Why is my water cloudy after initial setup?
Cloudiness is usually caused by harmless residual dust from the manufacturing process. This occurs if the filters were not correctly primed; simply flush the system for 3-4 rounds to clear it.
How do I clean the filter elements?
If the flow rate slows, remove the elements and scrub the exterior with an abrasive sponge or ScotchBrite pad under cold running water. Do not use soap on the filter elements themselves.
Does the filter remove healthy minerals?
No. Our technology is designed to retain essential vitamins and minerals like calcium and magnesium that your body needs for balanced hydration.
Can I use the system with water from natural sources?
The system significantly reduces contaminants from wells, lakes, and rivers. However, it is not intended for use with water that is known to be microbiologically unsafe without prior disinfection.
What is the return policy?
We offer a 100-day satisfaction guarantee. If you are not completely satisfied within 100 days of delivery, you can initiate a return for a full refund of the purchase price.
